Look at what my son brought home yesterday:
I was just thrilled when I saw the little square of burlap at the bottom of Ely’s school bag. He unravelled the edges this morning when he was supposed to be eating his breakfast, so I put it on one of the shelves in my sewing nook. I wasn’t going to let him destroy something so wonderful so quickly.
When I picked him up from school today, Ely told me he did new sewing work but had to leave his name tag by it because he didn’t have time to finish. I can’t wait to see what comes home tomorrow. Looks like I need to find some burlap and dig out those blunt embroidery needles from my teaching days. There may be another sewing obsessed person in this house besides me.
